In 1910, John Boultbee and his son, Wilfred Mason Brooks, filed two patents related to improvements in satchels and knapsacks guaranteeing more equal distribution of loads over straps and more stability whilst cycling. With this in mind, we developed the Barbican Cotton Canvas, featuring a shoulder belt which can be easily secured around the waist in the fashion of a "Sam Browne" belt. Once adjusted, the belt can be kept loose to carried over the shoulder whilst walking. Made from water-resistant treated cotton and vegetable tanned Brooks leather details, the Barbican comes with an internal organiser to keep your belonging safe and tidy. Made in Italy.
